Assurance Scriptures

Mom lay dying. One day doubt seized her. To help her do battle against the father of lies, I copied these scriptures for her. She read them over and over all afternoon. By evening, she had a new peace about her. God’s truth is a most powerful weapon against the lies of the enemy.

May you take His promises and read them as Jesus’ love letter to you personally.

ASSURANCE SCRIPTURES

John 1:12,13
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, [even] to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

II Cor. 20-22
For as many as may be the promises of God, in Him they are yes; wherefore also by Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave [us] the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

Eph. 1:5,6
He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us.

Eph 2:8,9
For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; nor as a result of works, that no one should boast.

I John 1:9
If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son as eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life,
for God’s wrath remains on him.

I John 5:11,12
And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Prov. 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

John 14:1-10
Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.

Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and [yet] you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works."

Lord Jesus, come in and forgive my sin; cleanse me without and within that I may live forever with you. Amen.
